DUCO – Belgian-made ventilation and sun control since 1991
DUCO Ventilation & Sun Control is a Belgian manufacturer founded in 1991 and still based in Veurne, West Flanders, on the E40 between Ostend and Calais. From there it has grown into one of Europe’s leading producers of natural ventilation, mechanical ventilation and solar shading systems.
Everything happens under DUCO’s own roof — product design, production and assembly, testing and dispatch — across an ultra-modern industrial site of 101,000 m² spread over two locations. That vertical integration is why the components fit together so precisely on site, and why DUCO has picked up international awards for innovation, management and export.
Ventilation and shading are treated as one problem, not two: fresh air in, unwanted solar heat out. The result is a healthy, comfortable, low-energy indoor climate in homes, apartments, offices, schools and care buildings.
Why the factory matters
DUCO oversees the whole chain itself, from the first design through to handover of the finished product. Nothing is badge-engineered from a third party, so the tolerances, acoustics and airflow figures quoted on a datasheet are the manufacturer’s own — and spare parts stay available years after installation.
That control over design and production is what allows for details like sound-absorbing window vents, the exceptionally quiet DucoBox Silent, and heat-recovery units such as the DucoBox Energy — products developed as one system rather than assembled from bought-in parts.

Continuous extraction, demand-controlled comfort
With DUCO ventilation units, the basis is laid for an optimal indoor climate thanks to continuous exhaust of stale and/or humid air. With the addition of demand control, a high level of comfort is achieved — the unit only works as hard as the rooms actually need it to.

Zonal ventilation with DUCO
Smart, energy-efficient and low-noise ventilation comes from a ventilation box with demand and zone control. Internal or external control valves work together with CO₂ and humidity sensors to detect where and how much ventilation is needed, so every room or zone is ventilated fully automatically.
The result is fewer running hours, less noise and lower energy use — without anyone having to touch a switch.
