The Panasonic RAC Solo P-MOZ20IC5-E is a 2.0kW heating and cooling air conditioner that needs no outdoor unit at all – everything is housed in one slim indoor chassis, making it the answer for flats, listed buildings and any property where an external condenser is impractical or not permitted.
Because the refrigerant circuit is sealed inside the unit, there are no refrigerant pipes to run and no F-Gas certified engineer is required. Installation simply needs two holes through an external wall, and in most cases no planning permission is needed. The unit can be mounted high on the wall like a conventional split, or low at floor level beneath a window, whichever suits the room.
A Panasonic DC inverter compressor modulates output to hold the set temperature with minimal noise and running cost, delivering efficient heating in winter and cooling in summer from a single appliance. As a rough guide the 2.0kW model suits rooms of around 20m², depending on insulation, glazing and occupancy.
